Recognizing what’s truly important, we make it a point to give back, no matter where we are building. Because while the structures we create can improve lives, the connections we make can change them forever. Our people find their passions and turn them into action, helping those who need it most.

Food banks. Human dignity. Beach cleanups. Inclusive playgrounds. These are some of the ways we build community from coast to coast. The best thing about it? We often find it is just what we needed most, too.

More Opportunities for Inclusion

As a business centered on trust and integrity, we’re all about partnerships — of every kind. That’s why MW Builders forged a new partnership with Variety KC, an organization that provides children with developmental disabilities the adaptive equipment they need for mobility and communication. At MW Builders’ recent Open House, we collected $650 in iTunes gifts cards, used for apps that help the children, and 27 bike helmets. On June 20, members of the MW Builders team celebrated with Variety KC kids at the opening of a new inclusive playground in Leawood, Kan. MW Builders donated and installed the fence around the area — because all kids deserve the opportunity to play outside.

Giving Back to Local Food Bank

The MMC Contractors New Jersey team volunteered their time at the Franklin Township Food Bank. They spent time organizing donations such as canned goods, produce and household items, which are then used to fill the food packages that will go out to the clients of the food bank. “We like to get out to the Food Bank a couple times a year, and every time we go, I walk away not only feeling fulfilled, but I am also excited to go back again. They rely on volunteers like us, so knowing we are helping people in our own community is very rewarding,” said Alli Sweeney.

Countywide Mechanical Cleans Up Mission Beach

Dedicated to transforming the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes, Rebuilding Together pairs volunteers with the time and skills to help renovate homes with families in need in their own backyards. Members from Countywide Mechanical Systems and Atkinson/Clark volunteered to help improve the home of a local resident who suffers from asthma and neurological issues. To better tailor the home and make it more comfortable for the resident, Countywide provided time and labor for a variety of tasks — and even hung around to mulch and landscape the front and back yards, improving the home from the inside out.
